Which Type Is Right for Your Home?
Different roof boundaries demand dedicated structural configurations. Here are the templates we construct.
Velux Loft Conversion
The simplest and most budget-friendly path. Rather than restating outer wall frames, we incorporate clean Velux roof skylight panels straight into the rooflines. Best for sleek bedroom templates or office hubs.
Dormer Loft Conversion
A flat-roofed timber structure built out of the sloping roofline. This dramatically unlocks head height clearance and literal square space. Dormers are the absolute most popular choose for London Victorian terraced houses.
Hip to Gable Conversion
Highly recommended for end-of-terrace or semi-detached buildings with sloping side-hips. We build the sloping roof edge straight up into a vertical masonry brick gable wall. This unlocks significant space.
Mansard Conversion
Near-vertical back-face roof alignments. Mansard conversions run across the entire roof width, yielding maximum possible volume and architectural layout freedom inside.
From Planning to Plaster-Dry Walls
Feasibility Assessment
We check the head clearances, pitch angles of rafters, load-bearing frames, and calculate stairway options for the main escape line.
Architectural Drawings
We configure steel points, create construction layout blue-prints, and direct planning applications through local Merton/London boroughs (if needed).
Structural Steel Insertion
We support the property using structural RSJ beams safely across load gaps, preventing weight transfer on the old ceiling timbers.
Rafter & Dormer Construction
Our carpenters cut roof boundaries, construct the timber framing, configure thermal insulation, and set tiles.
Multi-Trade Fit-Out
We run electrical sockets, heat pipes, plaster drywalls to mirror smoothness, construct bespoke storage cavities, and fit final floorings.
